How has attending an HBCU set you up for success?
Attending an HBCU has taught me how to shine in any room I walk into, even if there aren’t many people who look like me there. It has given me confidence to take up space because I matter!
How are you looking to contribute to the professional world upon graduation?
I am looking to contribute to the professional FASHION world by taking up space and providing my creativity, informed thoughts, and skills.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is being the multitalented artist I am meant to be. A fashion designer and stylist that is INFLUENTIAL in the fashion industry. A creative director and photographer that tells a story through her concepts. A model. An artist!
How do you express your personal sense of style through fashion?
Limitless. My personal style knows no bounds because it reflects the multi-faceted human being that I am. I can dip toes in any and every aesthetic, vibe, style, etc because it is what I like and I am inspired by and I am not limited by boxes, meanings, or other’s perceptions.
What role will you play in the future of fashion?
I WILL be an influential presence in the future of fashion. I will create and transform trends. I will inspire and cultivate community and create self expression.
